Emergency Management Assistance Compact
Codified in Arizona statute in July 2000, EMAC acts as a complement to the national disaster response system. Through EMAC, a disaster impacted state can request and receive assistance from other member states quickly and efficiently, resolving two key issues upfront: liability and reimbursement.
