Physical Resource Maintenance

Physical resource maintenance is a function that encompasses many aspects within the Division of Emergency Management. ADEM has significantly increased its inventory of disaster response facilities over the years to include three Alternate State Emergency Operations Centers located at ASU East, Camp Navajo, and Prescott; a Joint Information Center, expanded Disaster Field Office and five mobile communications centers.  The Division manages seven buildings on Papago Park alone, including the State Emergency Operations Center.
                                                     
The Physical Resource Coordinator position has maintenance responsibility for numerous disaster response and recovery facilities and equipment requiring maintenance in a high state of readiness to support the State’s response to emergencies and disasters 24/7.  He maintains facilities, equipment and systems that support the State’s response to emergencies and disasters to include the establishment of temporary facilities in the vicinity of disaster areas.
