DISASTERS PAST & PRESENT
ARIZONA CURRENT OPEN DISASTERS
Recovery following disaster is the most time consuming element of the emergency management cycle - preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation. In recovery we assist those communities impacted by an event in obtaining reimbursement for all eligible costs associated with the repair and restoration of public facilities impacted by the declared event. This is a listing of the open disaster declarations.
The listing indicates the name of the declared event, date the incident was declared a disaster, whether it is a state only declaration or if the event was also declared a disaster by the President and a short synopsis of the event.
ARIZONA DISASTERS PAST AND PRESENT
Arizona has experienced over 188 declared disasters since 1966. This report provides the disaster number, type or name and impacted areas along with whether the event was a state and/or federal declaration, the declaration date, the date the event was terminated and the cost to recover from the event. If the event is still ongoing, there is no termination date indicated and the costs are estimated. We cannot calculate final costs until termination of an event.
